Origami Jewelry Process

I fold my jewelry from yuzen washi and chiyogami . It is a very fibrous paper and the bright prints do not fade in the sunlight. I put small pieces of stencil plastic in the wings of the cranes, dragonflies, hummers and kimono body and sleeves before gluing. Then, I coat each piece with a fabric stiffener to seal the paper and stiffen small parts. The earrings and pins are then sprayed with an acrylic laquer for shine. All ear wires are 14/20 gold coat slipless wire from Rio Grande. In the 25 yrs. I have used these , no customer has ever complained of allergic reaction. ** Adjustable clip earrings are availabe upon request. All earrings and pins come on a card. The back have the Kanji(Japanese character ) for that item and a Haiku(Japanese poem and/or description of the item.
Colors There are ~200 print papers in my collection. It is logistically impossible to offer a choice unless I spend a lot of time photographing etc. Please allow me to pick a pattern in the basic colorway or combination colors you choose. I can/will send a photo of a few choices available. Prints are flowers of Japan, or traditional symbols of Japan Reds Pinks and Pastels Oranges Gold backgroundBlues Silver background Violet/purples Blacks Yellow GreensBrowns
